Introduction:

Description: 
The Project Owning Organization represents the Financial Organization which is primarily responsible for the project or task.
Note: The Owning Organization also may be set at the Task level.

For billable projects, the Project Owning Organization is used to determine the Remit To address for payment (AR), as well as contact information for invoicing. 

If the Use Financial Organizations property is selected, the Project Owning Organization is required upon creating a project and must be a financial organization. Once transactions have been posted to the project, the Project Owning Organization cannot be changed to a financial organization in another legal entity.

Navigate to Project > List > List tab > Edit Pencil Icon.




The profile allows for budgeting, accounting and expenses adjustments via their respective tabs. 

Navigate to Project > List > List tab > Edit Pencil Icon > Budget.



If a person's Person Organization is a Financial Organization, they can only charge time and expense to a project whose Project Owning Organization is within the same Legal Entity.
If a person's Person Organization is NOT a Financial Organization, they can charge time and expense to any project.
The Project Owning Organization may be used as the posting organization for costs and revenues based on the Posting Group setup assigned for the charged project.
